Matthew Nelson worked in the Finance Department at Zenith Insurance Company under my supervision during the winter of 2018. Matthew had already interned with us in the past but left such a good impression that one of our key officers requested we bring him for a second term in the winter.

Matthew is very personable. He is an extremely friendly, upbeat and positive individual. His personality is without a doubt one of his greatest assets. I observed his excellent networking skills with his peers and with other key officers in our department. Everyone at Zenith is fond of his larger than life personality. At the same time, he is extremely courteous and a solid performer in the workplace. During his internship, Matthew had excellent attendance and completed all of his work assignments without complications or delays. He was very receptive when taking instruction. I would outline a scope of work to be performed and he was able to grasp the instructions quickly. He was very detailed oriented and made sure to keep me informed of his work progress. I can also say that Matthew is comfortable taking risks in that he does not shy away from certain internship opportunities simply because they’re not compatible with his current career path/major. This is indicative of a well-rounded individual.

Overall Matthew is a great asset to any organization and I see a bright future in store for him. For these reasons, I give Matthew my greatest recommendation.
