The Fung Fellowship is a model of Discovery Education at UC Berkeley—an immersive undergraduate learning experience that addresses real-world challenges, engage with communities to understand needs, and develop viable solutions alongside industry and community partners. The Fellowship’s learner-centered approach allows students to co-design their experience from crafting course content to sourcing future projects and collaborators.

• Selected as one of 42 fellows across UC Berkeley to diagnose and propose practical solutions for the medical and biotechnological needs and illnesses of at risk communities (i.e., victims of multiple sclerosis, cancer patients, children with mental health issues, trauma patients, etc.)

• Diagnose and propose biotechnological solutions for the medical needs and illnesses of youth and elderly communities nationwide
• Designed an interactive role playing game constructed to improve the comprehension and treatment of individuals with anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and clinical depression
• Collaborated with Purple Asparagus to prototype a mobile app designed to improve retention of nutrition education at over 17 schools, serving over 10,000 students and families

• Partnered with Byer Square Jewish Living Group to design a community oriented forum to develop new experiences for a 2,000+ senior population
